Battery cell

The common battery cell of power bank includes polymer lithium battery, 18650 lithium battery, and AAA nickel-metal hydride battery. 

Polymer battery: standard voltage 3.7 V, more shape, can be customized, large capacity, fast charging, inexpensive, and widely used (such as for mobile phone, MP4, portable speaker). 

18650 Lithium Battery: Standard voltage 3.7V, small size, large capacity, mainly used for notebook computers and other high-end products. 

AAA NiMH batteries: Standard voltage 1.2V, relatively small capacity, widely used such as household appliances. 

Polymer lithium-ion battery, compared to ordinary lithium cell battery, is more expensive. High-capacity polymer lithium battery with advantages like high capacity and small size makes it gradually replace the ordinary lithium battery. 

According to the national standards of the battery, especially for polymer battery, there is a strict hierarchical system. The quality and timeliness of the battery is divided into three levels. A class battery - the new polymer battery; B class battery - inventory of more than three months or disassemble battery; C class battery - used batteries. Attention that the C class battery is cheap, but there are serious quality problems. B class price is low, but the recession is very fast. A class battery is the best choice if you have budget. 

Charging 

Generally speaking, the first use of the newly purchased portable phone battery charger is very low. So you¡¯d better get fully charged after purchase, which helps to enhance the performance of the mobile power bank¡¯s built-in lithium battery. 

It is normal that power bank gets heat while during the charging or discharging process. However, if the mobile power bank is very hot, that would be a problem maybe with the charging circuit. So the mobile power bank you are going to buy must has overcharge and over discharge circuit protection and the battery need to be produced by normal factory. Do not consider the battery which is produced by small factories. 

In addition to the charging time, generally 2-5 hours are the best. After fully charged, take off the socket as soon as possible. Do not continue for a long time charging.
